Daftar Para Pemenang Piala Oscar 2021, 'Nomadland' raih Prediket Film Terbaik
Setelah diundur selama dua bulan, Academy Awards ke-93 akhirnya digelar pada Senin (26/4/2021) waktu Indonesia. Siapa saja para pemenangnya?
IDWS, Senin, 26 April 2021 - Ajang penghargaan sineas yang juga dikenal sebagai Piala Oscar ini disiarkan dari dua lokasi di Los Angeles, yakni The Dolby Theatre dan Union Station di mana tidak adanya host bagi upacara penganugerahaan penghargaan.
Film besutan David Fincher, "Mank" mendapat nominasi terbanyak yakni di 10 kategori, dan berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan untuk kategori sinematografi dan desain produksi. Sedangkan untuk penghargaan film terbaik jatuh pada film "Nomadland" arahan Chloe Zhao — yang juga mengantarkannya meraih penghargaan sutradara terbaik.
Frances McDormand memenangkan penghargaan aktris terbaik ketiganya untuk perannya di "Nomandland" sedangkan Anthony Hopkins meraih penghargaan aktor terbaik keduanya lewat "The Father".
Ajang Academy Awards ke-93 ini juga mencatatkan sejarah baru di mana untuk pertama kalinya dua wanita masuk sama-sama masuk nominasi kategori sutradra terbaik, yakni Emerald Fennel lewat "Promising YounG Woman".

Chloe Zhao sendiri juga mencatatkan diri sebagai sutradara wanita kedua yang berhasil meraih Piala Oscar untuk kategori sutradara terbaik setelah hampir 10 tahun lamanya sejak Katheryn Bigelow pada 2010.
